I’m David Braysher. I started out in entertainment in 1978, and I still turn up personally to every booking — no agency roster, no second-guessing who’ll show up on the night.
I’ve been working in entertainment long enough to have played music from its original release the first time round, decades before it came back into fashion at somebody’s wedding. Karaoke, mobile DJ work and disco lighting have been the backbone of the business throughout, and I don’t hire equipment out on its own: everything travels with me, and I run every event myself.
Two of the bookings I’m proudest of aren’t weddings at all — they’re the resident karaoke nights I’ve run at the Bell Air Restaurant in Northwood since 2005, and the Blue Cheque Restaurant since 2006. Fifteen-plus years of the same regulars turning up on a weeknight tells you more about whether a karaoke host is any good than any amount of marketing copy can.
And nearly 5 decades later we still provide excellent service.

1978 — Where it started
My first steps into entertainment — long before “mobile DJ” and “karaoke host” were even common job titles.
2005 — Bell Air Restaurant, Northwood
Became the resident karaoke host — a weekly night I've now run for close to two decades.
2006 — Blue Cheque Restaurant
A second long-standing residency, running alongside Bell Air ever since.
